Our church follows a leadership model we see prescribed for our benefit by Scripture, sometimes referred to as an “elder-led” model of church government. While recognizing the congregation’s authority as whole to act in ultimate matters (especially church discipline), this elder-led approach provides us with sound guidance from biblically-qualified men. LCoB polity (church government) emphasizes that all of the elders are pastors of the congregation. Some of our elders are employed by the church, while others work secular jobs. All elders meet the stated qualifications for this office as laid out in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. They meet regularly to pray and provide spiritual oversight on matters concerning the church.
Please see our Constitution for more details, especially Articles VI-IX which cover areas such as the privileges and obligations of membership, how we conduct our Members’ Meetings, the elders’ qualifications and responsibilities, as well as how we confirm the elders whom Christ has set aside to serve and lead in our congregation.

Greg Kenyon and his two brothers were born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised on a large 4-H project in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. He heard the Gospel from his parents and believed at a young age. He met his wife Cathy while they were both in college at Oregon State University. After college he joined the US Air Force and was stationed in Albuquerque, NM and Dayton, OH. The Lord used the premature birth of their eldest daughter, Chelsea, to draw Greg and Cathy closer to Himself. This was followed by several years of study with Bible Study Fellowship and the birth of their second daughter Lara. Greg eventually left the USAF to study at Dallas Theological Seminary where their third daughter Vivian was born. The Kenyons came to Montana so that Greg could pastor a church. At the close of that ministry opportunity Greg temporarily returned to engineering while waiting to see how the Lord would lead. The Lord has opened up several opportunities to teach and preach and blessed the Kenyons with their fourth child, David. They have been part LifeWay since July of 2006.

Geoff then transferred to Billings, MT in 2006 and started attending LifeWay in 2007. At LCoB, he leads one of the Adult LifeGroups. Geoff is passionate about the gospel, the local church, and his wife, Rebecca, and their two children.
